Warburtons new Commercial with Peter Kay
I was asked to be involved in a small way in a new commercial as Peter Kay takes on the role as the new face of Warburtons.
The Warburtons Bread commercial features Peter Kay in a spoof of Pride & Predjudice - re-named Pride & Breadjudice and sees Peter Kay pitching his idea to the boss of Warburtons in his office - whilst surreptitiously stealing the goods from his desk. The advert was filmed at 16th Century estate Lyme Park in Cheshire - the same location that was used for the Jane Austen adaptation starring Colin Firth.
It was a lovely sunny day and one of the most fun I've had on set! The costumes were brilliant and at one stage even the crew got in the shot as Peter storms past the tea station after refusing to jump in the lake as you can see below. I'm stood in my fabulous blue suit.
I loved the suit & frilly cuffs wardrobe fitted me out in!
Peter Kay next appears as Mr Darcy! it also features the classic 'Garlic Bread' line, along with a ring tone from of Pheonix nights!
A great day of filming & Peter Kay was as hilarious off camera as you would expect!
The end result is brilliant, especially the full version with the Pride & Predjudice sound track.
